Number close. Succeeding in getting a woman’s phone number. |
| 3s rule |
The Three Second Rule. A guideline that states you should approach a target within three seconds of seeing her or making eye contact. This makes you look more confident to her and gives you no time to chicken out. |

Email close. Succeeding in getting a woman to give you her email address. The least impressive form of closing a girl, but better than nothing. |

Average Frustrated Chump. What most guys are until they study seduction. |

Approach Invitation. Signs a woman gives out – consciously or not – that she would like you to come talk to her. |

Alpha Male Other Guy. A direct competitor when you are seducing a woman. |
| Anchor |
Anchor is a standard NLP term. Associating an emotional state or thought in a person’s mind with one of the senses, such as with a touch or sound, or visual movement. Visually would be called a Spatial Anchor. Once an Anchor has been set it can be moved on a sliding scale to either amp-up or turn-down the state, by combiningg pattern language with changes to the anchor. Display of Higher Value. Something you do or say that increases your perceived value by a woman. Having good-looking friends, a prominent job, or a nice car can all be examples of DHVs to a woman. |

Display of Lower Value. The precise opposite of DHV. When you do or say something that lowers your target’s estimation of you. |

Neuro-Linguistic Programming. A technique in which specific words are used to get a girl into a trance-like, suggestible state and therefore easier to seduce. Many PUAs look down upon NLP and regard it as outside the spirit of seduction. |

| Pivot |
A female friend who is willing to assist you in your pickup efforts. By being seen with her, you appear more attractive and desirable to potential targets, i.e. you have social proof. |

The idea that when a guy is seen with attractive women that he becomes more desirable to other women nearby. |

Statement Of Intent. When a guy makes clear to a girl that he is interested in her sexually to reduce the probability of her later saying, “Let’s just be friends.” |

Sticking Point. A step in the seduction process that continues to give a guy problems and derailing his chances to close. |
